Explore Semester at Sea Cabins

All Semester at Sea cabins are equipped with a closed-circuit TV, mini-refrigerator, closets (with hangers), drawers, a restroom (shower, toilet, shelf space), and a safe shared between cabin mates. Linens, towels, and cabin cleaning are provided daily by cabin stewards. Explore cabins by voyager type below!

Student Cabin Categories

Spring 2023 Voyage Only

Most student cabins are located on decks 4 and 5, with a small number located on decks 3 and 8. At the time of placing a deposit, students will select their cabin preference, which impacts the overall program fee.

“Adventure” Double Bunk
Double Bunk cabins have two beds.
“Discovery” Inside Triple
Inside Triple cabins have three beds.
“Ocean” Outside Triple
Outside Triple cabins have three beds and a window.
“Discovery” Inside Double
Inside Double cabins have two beds.
“Ocean” Outside Double
Outside Double cabins have two beds and a window.

Fall 2023 and Beyond

Student Cabin Categories

Most student cabins are located on decks 4 and 5, with a small number located on decks 3 and 8. At the time of placing a deposit, students will select their cabin preference, which impacts the overall program fee.

Premium Cabins, Starting Fall 2023

Premium cabins have two beds and a window. You are guaranteed to have just one roommate during the voyage.

Standard Cabins, Starting Fall 2023

Opting for a standard rate cabin means you will be placed in any cabin type based on availability once premium cabins are assigned.

Lifelong Learner Cabins

These cabins are typically located on deck 8 alongside other non-student cabins. Cabins range from budget-friendly to large and luxurious with occupancy ranging from 1–4 people.

Faculty and Staff Cabins

Faculty and staff members are assigned to Outside Double cabins with an ocean view. Faculty and staff families traveling with children are typically placed on decks 7 and 8.
