Enjoy every moment of the ship life.
Try to talk at least once with everyone on the ship.

My biggest advice is to stay open minded throughout the voyage, and stay outside of your comfort zone! This is a once in a lifetime opportunity and you have to take advantage of all of the experiences and lessons you can learn!

My advice is try not to worry so much when things change on your voyage! It will happen but it often leads to the best stories. My favorite ports were Cyprus and Sweden!

My advice is to remember that the ship is just as important as any of the countries you will visit. The relationships you will form will your fellow passengers will last a lifetime, so enjoy every moment. My favorite ports were Japan and Vietnam.

Don’t take a single second of time for granted while on the ship. It’ll very quickly become your favorite place in the entire world.

A piece of advice that I would offer future voyagers is to embrace all of the experiences that are coming your way. Home is where the MV World Odyssey is.

Cherish every little moment, it’ll be over before you know it!

My advice is don’t experience your journey through your camera. It’s great to take some pictures, but make sure to experience places through your own eyes. My favorite ports were Vietnam and South Africa.

Say yes to everything! Sleep isn’t important in port!!

Let the voyage be a voyage into your new life, one filled with endless possibilities.

One piece of advice I would offer to future voyagers is to step out of your comfort zone and experience everything SAS has to offer.

Don’t be afraid to take advantage of opportunities for adventure, and try things you’ve never done before! Take the time to check in with yourself and be intentional with your time and actions while onboard!

Remember to keep an open mind and embrace each day at sea and in port. Live in the moment and stay off technology so you can make the most of this life changing adventure!

It is important to be open to new experiences and adaptable. There are always new things to do and new people to meet so don’t be nervous to get involved or reach out to do activities in country or on the ship with a new people.

Go into every experience with an open minded. Sometimes the best experiences occur randomly and out of the blue, do not be afraid to jump into a new adventure.

Semester at Sea is going to be an amazing adventure but also an overwhelming one. So don’t forget to pause for a moment, take a break, and reflect on your experiences. Journaling might be a great idea!

Appreciate every moment both on and off the ship – even the challenging ones. Take every opportunity to pursue new experiences and relationships.

One piece of advice I would offer to future voyagers is to be flexible & open to everything! Plans are constantly changing during SAS, and being able to go-with-the-flow makes the experience so much more enjoyable!

Go out of your way to meet new people, especially in the first couple of weeks! Everyone feels uncomfortable and nervous at first make an effort to introduce yourself and meet new people, join clubs on the ship, sit with a new individual at every meal, and step outside of your comfort zone. The friends you make on Semester at Sea will be lifelong friends.
