Overview of Course
Gain practical experience in workplace and business communications. Students will focus on the study of theory and principles of effective communication in a professional business environment. Learn valuable techniques for writing informative, persuasive, sales, employment, good news, and bad news communication. Understand and implement professional writing styles and formats, including memos, letters, reports, procedures, and manuals. Examine formats and template reports, in addition review basic writing skills to gain a greater mastery of grammar, mechanics, and style. Emphasis of executing the C’s of effective communication (Correctness, Clarity, Conciseness, Completeness, Consideration, Concreteness, Courtesy.) Analyze international audiences and markets to understand worldwide business context. Every port will provide an opportunity to witness, investigate, and scrutinize international implementation course concepts. Explore business and professional practices, products, trends, and difficulties with people of another culture through speaking, listening, writing, and nonverbal means. Students will have the opportunity to develop and refine professional presentations through management of speech anxiety, topic selection, organization, research, and use of visual aids.
